Unit 11 Scripts
In the opening Game of Thrones scene there is much conflict between the three characters:
Ser Waymar -
Wants: Ser Waymar wants to stay and find some sort of proof to take back with him to the wall, if they flee now without any proof they will be labelled as cowards and would most likely be beheaded. Ser Waymar wants to complete the tasks he has been set by his superiors, he also wants to be respected by Will and Gared. Also, he wants to finish his task well and hope for some sort of reward when he heads back.
Conflict: His companions Will and Gared are keen on heading back and don't want to listen to him, he has to stay and get proof otherwise he knows the consequences of not completing his task.
Will -
Wants: Will wants to head back as he is aware of the dangers of staying, he has seen what has happened to the people at the camp and is afraid that the same fate might come upon him and his companions.
Conflict: Will has no choice but to listen to Ser Waymar's orders as he is superior to him an is the leader in the group. If he ignores his orders, he will be killed as he is lowest rank in the group. This is an example of a conflict that would escalate and become physical.
Gared -
Wants: He is there to help Will and Waymar to complete the task. He has lived a long life therefore he does not care much for his rank or status, Gared is experienced and is aware of the dangers of staying and is also keen on heading back when Will discovers the dead bodies.
Conflict: Gared cannot head back until Ser Waymar decides that it is time.

Script Feedback Review
From the feedback I received, the length of 7 pages was good as well as the format of the script. Grammar and spelling was fine. The characters personalities could be conveyed more by adding body language to the script such as: 'She did this angrily' Overall i am satisfied with my script although I know that I could improve it by showing character personalities more and how they interact with things.
1. Length - Good story length (7 Pages)
2. Format - Some sentences not grammatically correct. Use 'There is' instead of 'It is' and use 3rd person. Good overall format (spacing).
3. Structure - Lots of action and strong vocabulary, described well, check some spellings.
4. Dialogue - Good use of dialogue, characters easy to determine. Maybe add more dialogue than action to add interest in characters.

Episode arc
The opening scene of the first episode will be introducing the main character (Jane Doe), her mum and dad and her friends at school. She will be portrayed as a casual teenage girl who goes to college, her love interest will also be shown in the opening episode when Jane is with her friend at the college corridor and she notices him from far away. It will also show Jane driving into the gang member and how it escalates from there. She is in shock after the accident and feels unease, she carries on with her day like she normally would but with a feeling of guilt and anger at herself. Fade in to next day - carries on from there.
Crime
drama conventions
Most crime dramas are similar in their
conventions, these include:1. Mysteries that the audience can solve within the show, before the show itself reveals them. e.g Why certain character refuse to be interviewed by police
2. Sub plots and b stories between the characters that link up with the main mystery. e.g In CSI different clues at the crime scene will be analysed by different people then brought together towards the end.
3. Either a main character that the series follows or a team of characters. e.g Law And Order follows a team of detectives, whereas Luther follows one.
4. Usually follows the police side of the law but not always. e.g Luther follows a detective whereas dexter is about the killer himself.
5. Can sometimes show us the crime being committed at the very beginning so that the rest of the show is dedicated to solving the mystery of who has committed the crime. e.g the CSI series always starts the show with the crime being committed and doesn't show faces except for the victim or victims, we then see this flashback numerous times in the show as more clues arise.
